I was hired recently, by the Slovenian Society of Nephrology to do event branding for their new upcoming international event called: Urine Examination – Mastering the basics – A Theoretical & Practical International Course, to design promotional print materials and to design the event’s official website.

As the main topic of this event is studying urine samples under a microscope by a professional rather then a machine, I suggested the logo graphic’s theme to be a view through the microscope. With a proper color palette and element distribution to complement the logo’s typography, the end result is a “nicely tucked in” and clean logotype.

When presented with the logo proposal, the client was excited about the logotype’s comic-style look and with that feedback in mind, the entire colour scheme to be used later in promotional materials and the event’s website design was set. I went on to design the A5 promotional flyer, to be distributed on several international events to help promote the course & the event’s official website to provide the attendees all the relevant information about the event. Choosing a registration package, browsing the event’s programme, getting information on the venue and accommodation, list of speakers and more.

After researching the target audience and planning out the project with my colleague & programmer, we presented the plan to the client and decided to go forward with a plan to plan & develop a website, the users could enjoy on any device.
